The Project

The University of Haifa International School offers students the opportunity to go beyond traditional academics through its dynamic Undergraduate Study Abroad Internship Programs. These programs integrate classroom learning with hands-on professional experience, connecting students directly with Israel’s diverse and innovative sectors.

  • Real-World Experience: Internships span high-tech startups, NGOs, education, public policy, and environmental organizations — each placement tailored to students’ academic focus and personal interests.
  • Professional and Cultural Growth: By working alongside Israeli professionals, students gain practical skills, build global networks, and develop a deeper understanding of Israeli society and workplace culture.
  • Learning in Action: Whether in Haifa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem or community-based initiatives, the program transforms learning into living — offering experiences that stay with students long after they return home.

Fundraising Goals

The International School at the University of Haifa is dedicated to advancing access, diversity, and global collaboration. Our fundraising priorities focus on expanding scholarship opportunities to ensure that talented students from all backgrounds can grow academically and personally, regardless of financial circumstances.

  • Encouraging Global Engagement: Funding for exchange programs, research collaborations, and experiential learning opportunities that strengthen intercultural understanding.
  • Building Sustainable Partnerships: Long-term collaboration with alumni, philanthropic foundations, and corporate partners to support ongoing investment in student success.

Through these efforts, the International School empowers the next generation of global leaders, strengthens the University’s international community, and promotes education as a bridge for peace and mutual understanding.

Meet Michal Gottlieb Hadar

I was born near the city of Haifa and relocated to Haifa shortly after beginning my academic journey at the University of Haifa. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a master’s degree in Management of Education, both from the University of Haifa.

Over the past seventeen years, I’ve built a broad and diverse professional background within the University, serving in a range of administrative and managerial roles. My career began as a Resident Assistant in the student dormitories, where I gained valuable experience in student life and community engagement. Since then, I’ve taken on positions of increasing responsibility, deepening my expertise in academic administration, student support, and institutional operations.

Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment, contributing to the University’s mission of academic excellence and community engagement.
