In a heartfelt ceremony attended by the President, the Rector, family, and colleagues, the University of Haifa honored Prof. Robert Elbaz, Professor Emeritus of Hebrew & Comparative Literature, for his extraordinary contributions to the University and the world of scholarship. A renowned expert in literary theory and the literature of the Maghreb, Prof. Elbaz has spent over three decades enriching our academic community with his research, teaching, and warm human spirit.
Now, with his generous gift, Prof. Elbaz has ensured that future generations will benefit from a state-of-the-art Academic Broadcasting Studio bearing his name. The studio serves as the beating heart of our Digital Learning Unit, which ranks first in Israel for producing high-quality online courses, helping to make academic excellence accessible to learners everywhere.
Prof. Elbaz’s story is a testament to the enduring impact of giving back. His legacy will continue to inspire, reminding us all of the power we have to shape the future of education.
