Prof. Belu-Simion Fainaru Wins Israel Prize in Design and Interdisciplinary Art
The University of Haifa proudly congratulates Prof. Belu-Simion Fainaru (Department of Architecture) on receiving the Israel Prize in Design and Interdisciplinary Art. The award committee recognized him as “one of Israel’s most prominent artists exploring Jewish spiritual heritage and the power of symbols and letters in Jewish mystical culture.” A University of Haifa alumnus, he co-founded Haifa’s Pyramid organization, initiated The Mediterranean Biennale, co-established the Free International Art Academy, and represented Romania at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
