University of Haifa Secures Innovation Authority Grant for a Second Consecutive Year
The prestigious grant will support the launch of a groundbreaking training program aimed at integrating discharged soldiers and reservists into the field of marine studies. A collaborative effort between the Charney School of Marine Sciences and the Haifa Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (HIL), the program will focus on blue economy, marine environment, and coastal ecology. By combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience, participants will receive comprehensive training in marine and environmental sciences, economics and entrepreneurship, equipping them to create original, sustainable ventures. The successful application for the grant was spearheaded by Elick Almog, incoming Director of HIL, and Dr. Yaron Bogin, Head of Sustainable Agriculture and Blue Technologies at the Charney School of Marine Sciences.
