Two Faculty of Law Researcher Honored with 2024 Gorni Prize for Public Law Excellence

 

The Israeli Association for Public Law has awarded the prestigious Gorni Prize to two distinguished researchers from the Faculty of Law: Prof. Oren Gazal-Ayal, Vice President and Dean of Research, and Dr. Yahli Shershevsky.

Prof. Gazal-Ayal was recognized with the Gorney Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Public Law. His groundbreaking research, spanning over two decades, has significantly impacted constitutional rights within criminal law. His work has driven significant policy changes in legislation, case law, and administrative guidelines.

Dr. Yahli Shershevsky received the Gorney Prize for Young Researchers for his work on international law, particularly international humanitarian law, examining how international legal norms are interpreted, and integrated into national legal systems.
