SHORT BIO
I grew up in Ukraine, where I encountered the harsh realities of antisemitism. At just 14 years old, I embarked on a solo journey to Israel, seeking refuge and a brighter future. My pursuit of knowledge led me to earn a BA in Psychology and Statistics, followed by a Master’s in Biostatistics, and ultimately a Ph.D. in Pain Neuroscience. My postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado (Boulder), during the height of the opioid crisis, profoundly shaped my career trajectory.
In 2019, I founded the Integrative Pain Laboratory (iPainLab) at the University of Haifa. Our multidisciplinary team, composed of experts in neuroscience, data science, psychology, computer science, and medicine, is dedicated to advancing chronic pain care. Our innovative solutions include mobile platforms synced with smartwatches for patient monitoring and social initiatives supporting those with persistent pain. Recently, we validated a transformative therapeutic approach called Personalized Danger Signal Reprocessing (PDSR). PDSR has shown exceptional potential in alleviating chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. We have already helped hundreds of Ukrainian women, and now we are implementing PDSR in Israel through therapeutic groups, training programs, and freely accessible psychoeducational resources in four languages.
LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Persistent pain afflicts over 30% of the global population, manifesting in conditions like back and neck pain, joint issues, migraines, and more complex ailments such as fibromyalgia, endometriosis, and CRPS. This pain epidemic exacerbates the opioid crisis. At the Integrative Pain Laboratory, we’ve developed a therapeutic solution that promises significant improvement, and even the possibility of a cure, for these debilitating conditions.
We’re now focused on integrating our innovative approaches into healthcare by establishing dedicated clinics and offering specialized training for medical and psychotherapeutic professionals. We’re seeking partners who share our vision and can help us scale this approach by providing resources and facilitating connections with healthcare providers, media, and other influential stakeholders.
I firmly believe that, together, we can revolutionize chronic pain care, reducing suffering and offering hope to millions.
