We are deeply saddened to learn that Inbar Haiman, Haifa visual arts student, was murdered in Hamas captivity
The University of Haifa community mourns the murder of Inbar Haiman, 28 year old visual communications student at the WIZO* Academy of Design, and extends its deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
Inbar was a gifted writer and an artist, known by the nickname “Pink” (a nod to her favorite color) in the graffiti community. As well as writing, Inbar specialized in jewelry design and poster printing, demonstrating her versatility and passion for the arts.
Inbar was abducted by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7th, along with hundreds of innocent civilians. Her family was notified of her death by authorities after being held captive in Gaza for 72 days.
Those fortunate enough to share in her world will remember her not only for her artistic prowess but also for her joy, inspiration, and warmth. May her memory be a blessing.
We continue to pray for the safe and swift return of all hostages.
*WIZO is slated to merge with the University of Haifa this year.
