University of Haifa mourns the passing of longtime supporter Maurice Kanbar, philanthropist, entrepreneur and inventor. Throughout his life, he held more than 50 patents, and he generously contributed to Israeli academic institutions and Jewish causes. At the University of Haifa, Mr. Kanbar’s generosity helped establish the Maurice Kanbar Science Pavilion as part of the University’s Returning Scientist Program, which included 70 labs for 70 researchers.
