New study suggests morning and night people have different gut bacteria
Early risers and late sleepers have different gut bacteria, according to a recent study. “We already know that there are some genetic differences between late-night ‘owls’ and early bird ‘larks’, but research on fruit flies in our laboratory inspired us to explore the impact of gut bacteria on human chronotypes,” explains Prof. Eran Tauber (Department of Evolutionary and Environmental Biology).
