UofH student Gil Cohen (Department of Geography and Environmental Studies) made national history at the recent 470 World Championship sailing competition in Portugal. Gil and her partner, Noam Homri, became world champions after winning the mixed-gender category, which qualifies them for the 2024 Olympics in Paris in the 470 dingy class. “Their win is a great source of pride for the State of Israel and the University,” noted President Ron Robin. “Alongside scientific advances and achievements, our excellence is measured by the quality of our human capital.” READ MORE in the Jerusalem Post
