UofH researcher moderates event on Israeli-Arab women in the workplace
Israeli-Arab women have emerged to fill positions of leadership in Israeli society, yet many challenges remain to achieve full equality. Sawsan Kheir, double-degree PhD candidate in psychology at the University of Haifa and Abo Akademi University in Finland, recently moderated a panel of leading Arab-Israeli women who offered their unique perspectives on working and succeeding in the business, academic, labor and NGO sectors. Their fascinating discussion touched on issues such as important initiatives advancing women’s rights in the Israeli-Arab sector, job opportunities during COVID-19, the presence of Arab student in higher education and the impact of the pandemic on women’s rights. Sawsan Kheir studies contemporary religiosities and received all of her degrees from the University of Haifa. The webinar was hosted by the America-Israel Friendship League. VIEW THE EVENT
